This year the Ginninderra Swim Club has decided to enter the "24 Hour Mega Swim" which will be held on 19-20 May at the AIS. This is a wonderful annual event which aims to raise funds for the Go For Gold Foundation, a scholarship program for people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
Last year Ginninderra participated in the Mega Swim with outstanding results; we raised over $4837, and swam 109km, just surpassing the previous world record for a mega swim of 108km. This year we aim to raise even more for MS, with our goal being $5000.
Our team would really appreciate it if you might consider sponsoring us for this event, as we are very committed to achieving our fundraising goal and raising money for such an important charity. Donations can be made either online or in cash.
All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible, and you will be issued an official MS Events receipt if you choose to support our fundraising goal.
If you would like to make a donation online, please go to www.megaswim.com, click on ‘donate’ and search for ‘Ginninderra’. You can then make a donation to any member of the team or the team itself.
If you have any further enquiries, please contact Natasha Kosev on natasha.kosev@gmail.com. or hart-296@hotmail.com.

Jonothan Newton, a long time SNSW/NSWIS swimmer will be going to work with the TjuntTjuntjara Community in Western Australia in the next few months. His work will help the local community develop a viable business to stimulate their economy and develop numerable skills.
If you have any pre-loved sporting equipment which we can send with Jono to TjuntTjuntjara, it would help him immensely. Any sporting equipment will help greatly, in particular, bats and balls (all sorts) would be great.
If you can help, please drop off your donation the next time you are at SOPAC in the donation box outside the NSWIS swimming video office (beside marshalling).
